    I have some 70s and …
I have some 70s and 80s records, but not much records, as I’m more of a tape man. This was made I think in the 50s or 60s. THe 40’s records are 45 RPM.

Like you I’m not so …
Like you I’m not so crazy about the music from the 40’s, I’m more of a fan of stuff rom the 80’s and 90’s, do you have many records from the 80’s and 90’s in your collection? When was this turntable made? I take it those records from the 40’s are 78’s, right? Nicr record player, you certainly hear a lot of sound from the stylus before the tube amplifier warms up.

    Hi there,
    Thats a …

    Hi there,
Thats a fantastic machine you have there. Such a shame they were never exported to England. I would love to own one like that. I see them on eBay US from time to time, but even if I imported one I couldnt use it. We use 240 volts @ 50 cycles. Never mind, I can still indulge my love of American 45s I have that Joan Jet you were playing, and have about 10 of those box sets that you have there. Thanks for sharing.

At least the auto-changer doesn’t add considerable wow and flutter with each successive record being dropped.

    It’s probably then …
It’s probably then an AC motor. Damusician is better on record players than me and could probably know more what’s causing the speed to be fast. But if there is a 50 or 60 Hertz selector switch, switch it and see if it fixes the speed.

I’m not sure, if it …
I’m not sure, if it uses an AC motor, then it might not work for this, but if it uses a DC motor, there may be a speed control. If it does use an AC motor and it runs off 60 Hertz and set to 50 Hertz or vice-vera, then it probably needs to be switched. Hope you could follow this…

    excuse me,
    i have a major problme.
im 12 years old so there is not much mechanical work i can do,
i have a 1967 RCA solid State Stereo Record Player.
    3 speed.
When you put a record on, the songs are noticeably faster and in a higher key.
i have tried using coins, but i would like a permanet fix, is there anything you would recommend?

    one thing that …
one thing that bugged me about the wildcats and other GE turntables-off was not off-it would make the changer go thru its end of record cycle, not just click off–i prefer voice of music, myself…
