I want to buy a new record player?
February 15th, 2010 by adminI’ve looked on ebay, but can’t find anythng I like. I would like something for under £50.00 if possible. My boyfriend turns 21 in a few weeks and has a load of vintage elvis records and would love to be able to play them.
Any good websites?
Completely agree with Twisted_Ace, the Project Genie is an awesome buy for the money, but if that is too much, I’m afraid real quality sound would be second-hand, try these people http://www.greenhomeelectronics.co.uk/, they are very good, I have bought from them before. Vinyl is a good choice, keep it alive!

The best budget turntable you can buy, with decent sound quality, is the Pro-Ject Genie at around £120.
If you’re not too bothered about how good the sound or build quality is, then look at the Bush MTT-1. The retail price is about £40 (but, as with everything in life, you get what you pay for. My turntable cost me £450…).
