what’s the best amp to get for a technics sl-1200mk2 turntable?

You definitely need a preamplifier that is made for phonograph cartridges, called a phone preamp, or an RIAA preamp. OR… an integrated amplifier (preamp, and power amp) with a phono input.
All RIAA preamps will be so similar that I say just find the cheapest one. You can’t screw up an RIAA preamp. Even the integrated preamps are all good.
