		<description>It sounds like you are not connecting the turntable output to the right receiver input. You can not connect your turntable to the CD or Tape input because neither of them have a preamp assigned to the channels. 

You need to connect the output (usually 2 x 1/4&quot; phono) to the input market &quot;Phono&quot; on the back of the receiver. If you have this correctly set up, then you might have a bad receiver amp.
