Can I mount a record player/turntable on my wall?
November 27th, 2009 by adminI want to put a record player above my bed’s headboard sideways on the wall. Is this possible? Do I need to buy a special record player to do this, or can I use any record player?
Also, If anyone knows a website to buy high quality, cheap record players, please let me know!
No, you cannot mount a turntable sideways if you expect to use it to play records. Records are not held in place by anything other than gravity. The same is true of the needle arm. If the record is not resting completely on the turntable, it will not rotate. If the needle arm is not resting properly on the record, it will not transmit sound.
