A mix on a belt drive Turntable, The TT- Record

The TT record is ment for recording your vinyl to a flash drive but you can still mix on it and use it for normal dj sets.

    You can scratch on …
    You can scratch on belt drives but you need an insane amount of light touch to the tables.

    If you have baby elephant hands (aka you’re pounding on the platter) you’re looking at the music starting up very slowly or even breaking the belt.

    a little trick that …
    a little trick that works is if you put smaller elastic bands on a belt driven turntable it gets more powerful like the a direct i know it sounds daft but it does work.

    i don’t think scratching is even possible on a belt driven table. They are just not strong enough powerwise for all that wear.

    Im still not sure, Im getting a BIG deal for 2 vinyls belt drive and a mixer, should I go ahead and buy some brand new direct drives or go ahead with some 2nd hand belt drive?? Its really for radio and mess around use. I need to know for Friday!! :D

    go try scratching with belt drive, its horrible, it takes forever for the table to start playing the sample again after you pull it back

    what are you talking bout yes you can scratch but dood there is no belt drive that will have more anything then the worst direct driv. you can learn to mix on belt drive thats bout it. i learned on belts that had to be push started I.E start spinning the platter myself. but belt drive blows i was never happier when we got rid of belts.

    Yeah I would be quite sceptical of that, if your thinking of scratching i wouldn’t even consider a belt drive.

    yes, if you got skills and set up the cart properly, belts have more pull compared to cheapy directs (which often stop rotating with the slightest pressure). Obviously there nothing compared to technics or vestax.
