What kind of record player should I buy?

I bought some records recently and I have been looking for a record player, but I am not really sure what kind to get. I know that I want one that has the older style amp so that it sounds better. I am wondering if there are new record players out now that have the older style inner workings so that is sounds really good? I assume that if you just bought any of the brand new record players it would be just like listening to CD so it renders the purpose of having the records and the player pointless.

i do respect your hobby. a good-performance record player with the older style amp will rock your ear with perfect sound. However, it is not easy to find that one. everyone seem to like the convenience of modern advanced electronics. why not have a try! maybe a high quality portable DVD player is your ideal choice.     I own two record players.

    I would get an Audiotronics player or a Crosley CR-49

    Your record player you want also a good product before several years. But now we can choose more electronics to enjoy the music or video. Many persons like mp4 player and mp5 player, and also HDD player.
    It is time to choose one.
