my turntable/record player goes too fast on the slowest setting. is there a way to slow it down?

I don’t know what brand/model turntable you have but my Technics SL-1700(direct drive) has two seperate speed calibration screws underneath the platter(33&45 r.p.m.). Yours may be similiar or it may have to be opened to adjust platter speed. Calibrating should best be left to a professional. Keep in mind that a turntable requires proper lubrication as this affects speed.

hmmmm thats a toughy, i think you may have to
get it fixed somewhere
go to bestbuy and ask for prices about getting
it fixed, if its to expensive then ask
if they know a different place to get it fixed.
but ask someone who looks nice ^_^
