How do you know your record player needs a new needle?

they skip when they get worn down. pickup a diamond needle online and you won’t have to replace it very often (unless you’re a DJ).

    Agree with above, also worn needle causes poor quality sound, doesn’t always skip. Basically, if you have a fuzzy, low quality sound – replace the needle.
