KEWL 1960 FUTURA 222 RADIO PHONO RECORD PLAYER

Here is another cool piece: My 1960 FUTURA 222 battery operated radio phono that has a Jeston’s style two tone turquoise and blue case…NEATO! This beauty is mint and includes original instructions. Notice the slight sound distortion?? Unit could be going for 4 new D-size batteries soon

That phonograph …
That phonograph would really fetch some serious money on Ebay, as alot of vintage and antique items from the Atomic Age, particularly Eames Era and mid-century modern are very popular amongst collectors now. It would go great in a 50’s themed room.

Thanks for the comment! Your unit may just need a new cartridge. I replaced the cartridge in this unit as the original was faulty.
The cartridges in these units wore out with age. Once you replace the cartridge, your unit will sound great!

Nice. I have a Futura model no. 250 which looks and operates exactly like yours. It’s a great unit, but mine needs to be rewired. The records produce no sound. It’s still great after all these years though! Thanks for sharing!
