I broke the needle off of a record player, Help?
January 22nd, 2010 by adminI was at school today and I was trying to get a record to play on the school’s record player, no one was around, and then all of a sudden the needle just snapped off. And I didn’t know what to do so I just left. What should I do?
you’ve got two options – either leave it alone and hope no one calls you on it and embarrasses you, or fess up to whoever is in charge of the record player
if you wanted to be good and make up for it, go out and get a new needle, then you could either replace the needle secretly, give it to the person who knows how to fix it, or leave it secretly with the record player
what do you want to do about it? your sin doesn’t seem all that horrible to me, but on the other hand, it is always good to fix your mistakes

Dear Romaro,
Are you asking this question with a time machine?
Yours truly,

It’s OK to tell someone if you break something like that. Accidents happen. You can go in tomorrow and tell the teacher, "Hey, I think I accidentally broke the record player needle. No one was around, so I wasn’t sure what to do." Then the teacher will fix it. At the most, your parents would be charged for a new needle, but most teachers are sensible. If the teacher gives you trouble, tell your parents. Again, most teachers are sensible.
