how to fix record player needle?

October 27th, 2009 by admin

how to fix record player needle? is there any thing i can substitute for the needle?

There aren’t many substitutes depending on the make /model for a needle. (unless you have a Victrola from grandpa’s days)
You haven’t described what needs fixing (stylus bent, tip worn down, wire disconnected from cartridge) or what type of cartridge/styus you have.
In most cases you will need either a new styus or new cartridge and stylus.

i tried doing that and i gave up.

went to sears and bought a new record player and it works perfectly!

best to buy a new one now before they all sell out and they never make another record player needle again.

The only players that use needles are usually old . The ones since 1970 or so all use a "Stylus" . You can Google cartridge stylus and find a seller of cartridges , styluses and even needles .
