How do I clean an Edison C150 Phonograph and the records I have for it?

November 27th, 2009 by admin

I found it at my great grandma’s house when we were claning and it was very dusty and a few of the old records are dusty also and need to be cleaned. I belive these records are Edison Diamond Discs. Are there any normal household cleaning products i can use to clean it? I don’t want to buy a $50 special cleaner.

you can just use water and mild soap, remember its MILD SOAP. No suds, no dishwashers, no dettol soaps. wash with damp cloth, dont let it get on the label, it might destroy em
have another dry cloth then wipe them dry

do this gently on a flat surface, preferably glass surface will do

your records wont dry completely by just wiping, leave them dry on a dish rack if you have. to prevent fungal growth on the grooves
