Can anybody tell me how to clean an old phonograph record without buying a commercial record cleaner?
February 24th, 2010 by adminI once heard that rubbing alcohol would do the trick, but I learned more recently from an expert in the field of antiques collectibles that alcohol can ruin such a record. So, I am wondering if anybody can come up with a more viable alternative I could try…
Get a soft felt cloth and find some lap top screen cleaner.
That should do the trick and won’t harm the surface.
Of course you have to wipe in the direction of the grooves
