Zenith Console Stereo Record changer

This Zenith is in good condition. I had to replace one open resistor in the amplifier to get it working, and lube the mechanism a bit. The capacitors are in good shape to be this old, there is very little hum with no record playing. I am guessing late 60’s?? anyone know? It could use a new cartridge, as the element seems very stiff and tends to skip on rock and roll records. Maybe it just prefers country and western! It has a stereo aux input and sounds awesome with an iPod hooked into it.

Information about a Cabinet Stereo/Record Player?

Friend has a cabinet stereo which appears to me to be manufactured possibly in the 70’s. It is an AM/FM record player. The cabinet is roughly 1 1/2′ tall, 2 1/2 -3′ long, about 1 1/2′ deep, possibly designed to sit up on a stand, desk or counter?

He sent me a bunch of information on it but I can’t make sense of it. It says:

What do you want to know ? It is completely obsolete junk, that can be beaten by a few hundred dollars of modern equipment.

how to hook up my old stereo speakers to a new record player?

i was given a portable usb turntable for a gift because I recently moved and had to sell my turntable. It is extremely quiet, and I found a nice pair of speakers to get that sound i love so much out.
the old speakers have the split black and red wires, and of course the new record player has the line in/line out & headphone plugins. (i’m in no way well versed with electronics, i just know the sweet sound I’m lookin’ to hear)
so what is the cord/ adapter/ whatchamacalit i need to get these two beauts to work in harmony?
I appreciate your help!

Speaker to record player connection?

I have a record player with stereo RCA output an two speakers with speaker wire inputs. How do I connect the two?

Is the record player a turn table or is it part of a system. Remember you can not connect a speaker to any turn table, it has to be connected to a receiver and then connect a speaker to the receiver. Turn table does not have a power amplifier to drive any speakers. Hope this will help you out.

couldn’t find a year on this, but it is probably late 60’s, refurbished and cleaned this up, plays all 4 speeds, cycles perfectly!! comes with 45rpm adapter for stacking, new needle just put on also… am thinking of selling this on ebay, right now it is for sale in my store… this is solid state, no tubes, long cords for great separation and great loud sound!

How should i record a stereo cassette tape to pc?

I have a laptop and i have Audacity. I have a tape player but its only Mono with a single headphone outlet. I don’t suppose there’s a way to make it record to Audacity in stereo? Do i have to buy a stereo tape player? What else will i need? suggestions? These cassette tapes are priceless and i want to record them in the best way possible. Thanks for the reply.

go to RS and check out their adapters. A cheap wire adapter should work.
a stereo player might not work depending on how the tape was recorded.
