I want to buy a record player to play my dads old records and buy my own and i was wondering if it would be better to buy a modern day player or a vintage one?
Also if i was to get an older one would new records be ok to play on it?

Should I add the weight given with my technics 1210s turntables?
I got the M44-7 cartage hooked up to the tonearm it doesn’t require it according to the directions but the tonearm seems so light on the record ?
Do I just need to adjust the knobs & such to fix this ? Or should I add the weight ?
