Sony turntable has low output.?
I have a sony ps-333 turntable that plays just fine but has a low volume output. I have tried it on a dedicated amp and then on a home theater reciever. I have to crank the volume to be able to hear the album. Any ideas on why this is?

Needle, perhaps. Dust & lint can be picked up by the needle and form a wad which impairs function. Gently remove accumulations with a small sort brush; a soft toothbrush will do.
