Recently I moved my decks into another room, set them up, only to discover one headshell/cart was all distorted, bass was messed up and so were the highs.
Anyway.. after a little inspection I thought it’s either the headshell or cart right? Since when I use the good headshell on the same deck it plays fine.

US Technics Turntable 1200SL 110V into EU 1200SL 220V?

Hi,
I got 2 x SL 1200 bought in US and their voltage is 110V. Is there any way to fix them to make them usable in Europe that is 220V. Apart from using that special transformators which I already do.

I’m looking for a decent mp3 player that has the ability to record well in stereo, any suggestions?

I have found the Belkin Tunetalk for the ipod which makes the ipod very desirable, but people say the battery wears out after a year.
Is there anything for the zen or zune that give them the ability to record?

How do I know when I need a new needle for my record player?

It sort of has this scratchy sound to it now.. is that the sign?
1) When the tonearm "slides" across the record from right to left real fast with NO sound.
OR
2) When the record has been cut all the way through and is now two pieces (like a pipe cutter).

Where can I buy a vinyl record player?

I’ve bought a few vintage records then found out my parents threw away our record player. Besides, craigslist, ebay, or Urban Outfitters, where can I find a new or good condition old record player?

can turntable needles stop working after a long time of no use?

i have some SHURE M44G cartridges/needles
but i haven’t used them in over 2 months
they were just sitting there, catching some dust..
now when i try to scratch on my tables, they sound all funny like static-y
is it possible that the idleness did that?
